The spate of adultery and fornication among brethren in Christendom is becoming increasingly disturbing. Moreover, as it involves pastors and other ministers of the gospel. Therefore, all of us, especially those who are yet to be victims of this seductress who have crept into the church subtly, must now begin to take greater precautions.

Perhaps these few points below, thoughtfully selected, will help many male ministers in this regard.

1. Often, they work their way to come into close contact or friendship with you before they start to execute their mission. In fact, at times, they indirectly enter into your proximity by getting close to your spouse or another important friend of yours. It is almost impossible for an adulterous woman or a seductress to capture her unwilling prey from a distance. Prov. 7:12 – “At times she was outside, at times in the open square, lurking at every corner.”

2. They crave attention from you every now and then, especially if you are both in the same workspace or project group. They can be subtle in this regard. Each time you respond positively, they tend to celebrate it to a notable degree. This latter strategy of a seductress will steal an average man’s heart unless he is disciplined, focused, and spiritually sensitive.

3. They like to keep a line of conversation open with you at the slightest opportunity. Whenever they do this, they love to stay on with you longer than necessary, either through a phone call or a face-to-face conversation. They ensure that their conversation is soothing and emotional at all times, something you look forward to, perhaps due to a loss of communication with your own partner.

4. They use the interrogative strategy, under the guise of showing concern, to gather information from you about your spouse’s inactions and lapses towards you, and they begin to capitalize on it. Before you know it, they start to offer blanket but emotional advice to you. At other times, they come directly, suggesting how they intend to compensate for your spouse’s shortcomings, especially in the area of your emotional and sexual needs. They exempt no one from this approach, even acclaimed ministers of the gospel.

5. They can be mean when it comes to getting physical with you in an immoral manner. They are willing to sacrifice anything for it. A few seductive women would not even mind giving up their pride and dignity before colleagues or even losing their jobs just to share an immoral experience with a boss or a leader. Prov. 30:20 – “This is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth, and says, ‘I have done no wickedness.'”

6. They are loose in speech, dress, and comportment. More often than not, they take delight in exposing their private body parts, like breasts, cleavage, thighs, and upper waist buttocks, before their prey, because an average man is overwhelmed by the sight of a female’s naked body parts, even his wife’s. How much more with a seductress!

7. They love to sing the praises of their targets and use pet names for their prospective prey from time to time. Some even give pet names as if they are a legal second wife. I have experienced this before. It is very wrong and dangerous to allow someone of the opposite sex, who is not your spouse or direct relation, to call you by a pet name. Prov. 5:3 – “For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil;”

8. They hate to hear their victim speak objectively about their commitment to family life and a healthy spousal relationship. It distorts their plan and exposes them sooner than they think. They are never comfortable around a man who seems to be too disciplined for their immoral goals and longings.

9. They are never in a hurry to steal the heart of the desired target and capitalize on his emotional and sexual lapses. They prepare well and take their time to execute their sexcapade. A seductress can wait for as long as three to five years if not more to pin down an unsuspecting male folk. Prov. 7:10-18.

10. Sometimes, they come for a man by trying to initiate sympathy in him for themselves, especially those women who have troubled marriages. They give you the impression that their own spouses are not caring enough and are unavailable to make them feel like a woman. I mean, they would say just about anything against their husbands and in-laws, just to awaken sympathy in you for them. Watch out!

11. Apart from naturally bold women, a seductress is good at using eye contact to communicate their emotional interest to a target man. So learn to decipher these two sets of women. Often times, if you are a spiritual man, the Spirit will help you to easily discern a woman with this unhealthy motive when your eyes contact each other.

12. Their presence after some time starts to appeal to your sexuality naturally with little or no effort from them. When you sense that, it shows you are very near a fall. At that instance, it is best to cut off abruptly from such a female folk no matter who she may be to you.

13. More frequently than not, they keep a record of the victims they’ve already ensnared. According to Proverbs 7:26, ‘For she has brought down many victims, and all the men she has slain were strong.’ Therefore, be cautious if you happen to be aware of their prior exploits with other individuals.

Let me conclude by pointing out this very important fact, in most cases, a seductress uses two, three or more of this aforementioned approaches to capture their prey. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.
