Knowing God’s will in marriage begins with knowing God’s will for your life in the first place. Yes, first things first. Your life is bigger than your marriage. So if you don’t understand God’s will for your life there is every likelihood that you will abuse God’s will in marriage even if you eventually stumble on him or her.
I have reiterated in many teachings that it is unprofitable and unwise to start planning to get married when you have not even found the map of God for your life, that is I meant the reason for your existence.

The fact that people get married without an understanding of their definite purpose in life is also what enrols the majority of them as victims of loneliness in marriage. For everyone who wants to know God’s will for them in marriage and is sincere about it, they must be prepared not to put the cart before the horse.
WHEN IT COMES TO LIFE AND MARRIAGE AND GETTING BOTH RIGHT, PURPOSE COMES BEFORE MARRIAGE.
If you don’t understand your purpose before you attempt marriage, you will most likely abuse your spouse and your marriage.
Now Amos 3:3 says-
“Can two walk together, unless they agree?”
Understanding your life purpose gives you the leverage to know God’s will in marriage. Marriage is a long and high-impact journey that you cannot just embark on with anybody.
I do tell youths also that your life purpose is greater than marriage, but your purpose can be truncated just by marrying the wrong person. Many bright destinies have been cut short in their prime owing to this. E.g., Osinachi’s case. For those in Nigeria, Osinachi is the renowned gospel singer who was allegedly killed by her husband. Her bad marriage abruptly ended her enviable and promising destiny as a gospel song minister.
So my dear youths, if you don’t want this youth conference to be in vain in your life, pls don’t hurry to know God’s will for you in marriage. Rather be determined to know what assignment or purpose God has for you in the first place as an individual. Then you will know the kind of partner that fits into your life journey.
Pls read books, pray, fast and listen to teachings on finding your purpose in life before you venture into marriage. This was what worked for me and it has worked for many.
